Areas of Focus
Katelyn is an experienced attorney in all areas of family law and has guided cases to successful resolution both in litigation and mediation. Katelyn represents high net worth clients in matters involving sophisticated financial investigations, asset discovery and valuation, and negotiated financial settlements. She also represents clients in matters involving custody and visitation disputes, establishing child and spousal support, and protecting clients exposed to domestic violence. Katelyn is also experienced in uncontested and contested adoptions, including third-party adoptions, step-parent adoptions, and termination of parental rights.
Professional Achievements
Prior to joining Berger Schatz, Katelyn was a judicial extern with the Honorable Judge Lisa Ruble-Murphy, Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Relations Division and the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras, United States District Court of Northern Illinois. In addition to her law degree, Katelyn holds Certificates in Child and Family Law and Advocacy from Loyola.
